Shellie Karabell

Shellie Karabell has spent more than 40 years in broadcast journalism as a news executive, anchor, producer, and field reporter in her native USA, Europe, the USSR/Russia and the Middle East for ABC/WTN, PBS, Dow Jones Broadcast, CNBC, and Forbes.com. She has covered some of the major news events of the 20th century: the release of the American hostages from Iran in 1981; the collapse of the Berlin Wall (1989); civil wars in Lebanon (1983) and Yugoslavia (1991-92), and USSR/Russia (1986- present). She is currently VP of the Anglo American Press Association of Paris (President 2022-2025).
Alistair Dabbs

Alistair Dabbs is a freelance journalist, photographer, and media-tech trainer based in Montpellier, France, having spent 30+ years working on magazines and newspapers in London. He has also talked about technology on TV and radio, performed at the Edinburgh Fringe, and was executive producer on an album of live jazz rock. His satirical publication Autosave is for Wimps is a Substack Bestseller. Alistair heads the Paris branch of the National Union of Journalists of UK & Ireland.
Elaine Cobbe

Elaine Cobbe is an award-winning print and broadcast journalist based in Paris. A former foreign correspondent with CBS News, she has covered many of the major international stories of the past three decades, including the conflicts in Iraq, Kosovo, and Rwanda, and terror attacks in Paris, Brussels, and Barcelona. A regular commentator on French and international politics for news outlets in France and her native Ireland, she is also a researcher and trainer in journalism and trauma. Elaine is a committee member of the Anglo-American Press Association of Paris.
Caroline Harrap
Copy Editor
Caroline Harrap is a freelance journalist, editor, and trainer based in Paris. Her writing has been featured in France Today, The Guardian, and BBC Travel, among others, and she is a copy editor for the Louis Vuitton City Guide collection. Beyond her editorial work, Caroline is a co-director of the Society of Freelance Journalists, a committee member at the Paris branch of the National Union of Journalists, and a mentor for the journalism undergraduate program at Birmingham City University. She is also a member of the Anglo-American Press Association of Paris.
