LA VIE PARISIENNE Forget the romance: April in Paris is monsoon season. The weather – even in the spring – is among the least charming aspects of life here, second only to dog poop on sidewalks.
I laughed as I read this because I have heard that about April over there! About 10 years ago some friends of ours were seduced by the legend of ‘April in Paris’ and took their high school aged daughter there for a week at that time of year; they were expecting blue skies, sunshine, tulips and birds chirping in French 😉but instead got rain, wind and some of the dreariest skies they’d ever seen. They returned to the states and immediately began dispelling the rumors and Hollywood depictions of your fair city in the spring.
Personally I think a good hooded raincoat, some tall British wellies and plans to get to know every nook and cranny of Bon Marche (this is a need, not just a want😏) and the Louvre would be the ideal itinerary for April in Paris! Should you need a research buddy on the above itinerary, I’ll meet you in the shoe department at BM 🤣.

Sounds like a plan!
And be sure to cue up I Love Paris by Cole Porter. If spring doesn’t work, there are alternatives
Beautifully turned, Lorie. April Fish Day does have a certain hook to it ...
